My Vintage Minibike
My son and I built this Lil' Indian minibike a couple of years ago as a winter project. I picked out various parts that I thought would work well, such as the large trail-style tires, a 3.5 HP engine, and most importantly, a torque converter instead of a standard centrifugal clutch. The result is a true early '70s minibike that gets along at a pretty good clip. With everybody else riding electric scooters or "pocket bikes", this one really stands out from the crowd. If you've ever seen "Citizen Kane", then you'll understand why I named it "Rosebud"...

A far cry from the "glory days" in the deserts of New Mexico, but a lot less demanding on various fragile body parts.
